Advanced technology for a clear picture of your health
An accurate and timely diagnosis is the first step in your healing process. At Midwest Orthopaedic Center, imaging services ordered by our physicians can be performed onsite for greater convenience and better continuity of care. Midwest Orthopaedic Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology. The accreditation recognizes the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
We use the latest technology—referred to as Direct Radiography—to provide computerized images that are superior to traditional x-rays. Digital x-ray, available at both our Peoria and Pekin locations, provides larger, clearer images that result in a more accurate diagnosis.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
MRI is a safe, painless diagnostic procedure that produces detailed scans of soft tissue including muscles, tendons and ligaments. Our new MRI suite with advanced GE technology emphasizes patient comfort without compromising quality. The soothing environment includes beautiful lighted panels for an open, relaxing feeling, a wider patient table, and gentle background music throughout the scanning process. MRI is available at our Peoria location.
Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique used to visualize parts of the body while they are in motion. It is available at our Peoria location.
Midwest Orthopaedic Center uses the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS). This allows us to quickly obtain diagnostic images from hospitals and other facilities that also use PACS.
