Specialties

Dr. Seth Campbell specializes in helping patients overcome hip and knee pain so they can return to the activities that matter most. His practice focuses on total and partial knee replacement as well as hip replacement, including anterior hip replacement.

Dr. Campbell believes effective orthopaedic care begins with understanding how pain, arthritis, or joint deformity affects each patient’s daily life. He looks beyond imaging results to treat each person as a whole.

Dr. Campbell has a particular interest in the technology that is changing joint replacement surgery. He utilizes X-ray imaging and artificial intelligence-assisted software to help precisely position implants during hip replacement procedures. He also uses robotic technology during knee replacements to achieve an alignment and position that is best for each patient.

Dr. Campbell performs anterior hip replacement, an approach that can offer patients advantages during recovery and may allow some patients to return to normal activities more quickly. He also performs both total and partial knee replacements, tailoring treatment to the patient’s condition and individual needs.

Dr. Campbell was drawn to Midwest Orthopaedic Center by its physician-led approach to patient care. He believes physician leadership helps create an environment focused on better patient outcomes, experience, and satisfaction.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Campbell has family ties to the area through his wife and saw Central Illinois as a great place to establish his practice and raise a family. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, living in the country, camping, exploring the outdoors and gardening.
