As a specialist in the orthopaedic care of athletes and active individuals, Dr. Brent Johnson knows how to treat your injuries, whether you were injured on the court, on the field, at work or at play.

With specialized training that helps patients focus on improving performance and regaining range of motion, Dr. Johnson works with a team of specialists, nurses, physician’s assistants and physical therapists to put you back in scoring position.

As a surgeon, Dr. Johnson focuses on knee and shoulder reconstruction, using the latest operative techniques and advanced tools in our dedicated and state-of-the-art surgical facility, Midwest Orthopaedic Hospital at UnityPoint Health – Proctor. There, he offers minimally invasive options that address damaged bone and cartilage, preserve healthy tissue and help to ensure as quick a recovery as possible.

For shoulder patients, Dr. Johnson performs anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and arthroscopic labral/shoulder stabilization surgery. When it comes to knee patients, he performs knee ligament reconstruction, meniscal and articular cartilage surgery, and patellar stabilization surgery.
