Be Aware of Scam Calls Trying to Sell You Any Orthopedic Equipment or Braces.
Patients have been reporting to Midwest Orthopaedic Center that they have been receiving phone calls from individuals pretending to work for our office.
The caller typically asks the patient if they are still having back, neck, knee, or hip pain. They may try to sell a supplement or brace product.
Please be aware that these calls are scams.
The caller does not work for MOC. Our staff does not make these types of calls to our patients, and we have not had a breach of our patient database.
Caller ID shows that the number they are calling from is Midwest Orthopaedic Center (309) 691-1400 or another number they are using is (309) 941-1400. These numbers are spoofed to appear to be Midwest Orthopaedic Center.
We believe that these scammers are simply attempting to cite the name of a local orthopaedic office, asking about any type of orthopedic issue in an attempt to gain your health insurance information.
