Jeffrey W. Akeson, M.D.

Dr. Akeson is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in pediatric orthopaedics, scoliosis, trauma and total joint reconstruction.  A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine (1979), he remained at the University of Washington to complete his orthopaedic residency.  In addition, he completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Akeson is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, located in Peoria, Illinois. 

Dr. Akeson is on-staff at all three Peoria-area hospitals and is currently the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, Illinois).
